The Brexit Redemption

Most of you would have seen the film The Shawshank Redemption; in fact it is probably on many peoples’ top ten movies of all time. We all know the story. A man is imprisoned for a crime he did not commit; he is forced into working with the corrupt governor; then, when a friend and fellow prisoner is murdered, he steels himself to make an escape. I have my excuses: most of June was dedicated to my German football site Schwarz und Weiß and the recent European Championships, and more recent weeks have been centred on the start of the Olympic Games here in London. Sophistry Corner: What a Turkey

A Sophistry Corner special today featuring one of Europe’s favourite people, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Clearly the man believes that integration of Turks in Germany means more Turkish schools, more Islamic “education centres”, more Saturn V minarets and “honour killings” being incorporated into the Grundgesetz.
