A few weeks ago, Republican Senator Joe Wilson responded to a speech on the healthcare system by US President Barack Obama by shouting “you lie!” The outburst made headlines across the world, and even prompted old Democrat stalwart Jimmy Carter to crawl out of the woodwork and predictably brandish the racism card.
Was Wilson’s accusation just? Well, given Obama’s turnaround on the China-Tibet issue, he might just have had a point.
“If the Chinese do not take steps to help stop the genocide in Darfur and to respect the dignity, security, and human rights of the Tibetan people, then the President should boycott the opening ceremonies…”

We have bowed, scraped and kowtowed to the Communist mandarins of Beijing for too long, and when the President of the United States does the same, what hope is there for the rest of us?
